Queen Of Apemu In Osun, Promotes Education, Distributes 1,000 Books To Pupils

Queen of Apomu Kingdom in Osun State, Olori Janet Afolabi,has embarked on the promotion of education in the Kingdom, distributing 1,000 books to over 900 Apomu children.

Olori Janet, who hosted the children to and witnessed various activities, including a march past, quizz and dance competitions on Children’s Day yesterday, May 27, said that the gift of books was part of her contribution towards enhancing education in the community.

Chairman of Isokan Local Government area of Osun state, Maroof Akinremi presented the first prize, a Trophy, to Prophet Muhammed School which won in marching. Sunday Odewale from St Barnaba’s Anglican Primary school won the first prize in the dance competition.

Among those who attended the event were Iyaloja of Apomu, who is the Woman Leader of Apomu market Christian Akinlabu, the Otun Iyalode of Apomu, Youth corps members among others.
