The Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) has just concluded a two-day strategic retreat for members of the Monetary Policy Committee (MPC) meeting.
The retreat, according to a statement today, January 19, by the Acting Director of Corporate Communication of the apex bank, Mrs. Hakama Sidi Ali, is preparatory to the first meeting of the MPC under the tenure of the new CBN Governor, Olayemi Cardoso, scheduled for Monday, February 26 and Tuesday, February 27, 2024.

“The valuable insights gained from these discussions will significantly contribute towards the robustness of the forthcoming MPC meetings ”
Meanwhile, a calendar of meetings of the Monetary Policy Committee (MPC) for 2024, published on the CBN website indicates that the meetings have been scheduled for February, March, May, July, September and November 2024.
