Governor Babagana Umara Zulum of Borno State and two other Northern Nigerian Governors, Mai Mala Buni of Yobe State and Umaru Fintiri of Adamawa State have joined forces for massive agricultural activities that will ensure abundant food.
Information reaching us at Greenbarge Reporters online newspaper said that the three leaders recently visited a tractor manufacturing plant in Pakistan as part of their strategic move to enhance their states’ agricultural sectors.
It was learnt that during the visit, which focused on learning from post-insurgency and disaster management experiences, the governors explored the possibility of acquiring advanced machinery to modernise agricultural practices in their respective states.
It was gathered that the delegation engaged in discussions at the plant to facilitate the procurement of cutting-edge equipment aimed at revolutionising agriculture in Borno, Adamawa and Yobe State.
The Director-General, Press and Media Affairs to Governor Buni, confirmed in a statement that the governors are steadfast in their commitment to leveraging improved agricultural techniques as a vital part of their post-insurgency recovery plans.
The Director General, Mamman Mohammed said that the collaborative initiative of the three governors demonstrates their shared dedication to utilizing agriculture as a driving force for sustainable development and economic rejuvenation within their states.
