The federal government of Nigeria has declared Thursday, 24th and Friday, 25th of September as public holidays in commemoration of this year’s Eil-el Kabir festival.
Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Interior, Abubarkar Magaji, in a statement signed by the Director of Press, Yusuf Isiaka, enjoined Muslims to extend love to their neighbours during and after the celebrations.
He also advised Muslims to pray for peace, progress and unity the nation.
Magaji assured that the administration of Muhammadu Buhari is determined to build a peaceful, united and virile nation. [myad]
