The Department of State Service (DSS) has put to complete lie, reports in the media that its agents have arrested the acting chairman and Chief executive officer of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Ibrahim Magu
The Service’s Public Relations Officer, Peter Afunanya, in a statement today, July 6, said that the story of the arrest of Magu was a complete fabrication.
The statement titled; “OFFICIAL: Dagu is Not Arrested by DSS” said: “The Department of State Services (DSS) wishes to inform the public that it did not arrest Ibrahim MAGU, Acting Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) as has been reported by sections of the media.
“The Service, has since, today, 6th July, 2020, been inundated with enquiries over the alleged arrest.”
Social media was awashed today about the arrest of the EFCC chairman.
