President Muhammadu Buhari has openly declared his recognition of Victor Giadom as the acting national chairman of the crisis ridden All Progressives Congress (APC).
In his word: “because I will always act in accordance with the law, I will be attending the virtual meeting Giadom called for tomorrow afternoon.”
In a statement today, June 24 declaring the position of the President in the crisis, senior special assistant to the President on media and publicity, Malam Garba Shehu said that the President has received very convincing advice on the position of the law as far as the situation in the party is concerned and has determined that the law is on the side of Victor Giadom as Acting National Chairman.
Advising the media to stop promoting manufactured controversies and to not give any further room for mischievous interpretations of the law on this matter, the presidency said that APC governors and leaders of the National Assembly will hopefully attend the meeting called by Giadom.
