President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has said that his predecessor, former President Muhammadu Buhari has maintained a safe distance from his government, ever since he left office on May 29, 2023.
President Tinubu, who spoke today, January 16, at the launch of a book in honour of Buhari, written by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity when he was in office, Femi Adesina, said that Buhari had kept his promise of not interfering in his administration.
He said that he is the one that has been calling the former president to enquire about his welfare.
“He has not even nominated anyone for me to appoint…..
“You served the country with dedication and uncommon zeal.”
