President Muhammadu Buhari has demanded to know how the sacked chairman of the Presidential Task Force on Pension Reforms Abdullahi Abdulrasheed Maina, found his way to the ministry of Interior.
In a statement today by his spokesman, Femi Adesina, directing the sack of the same man from service, President Buhari demanded a full report of the circumstances of Maina’s recall and posting to the Ministry of Interior.
The statement said that the President gave the assignment to the Head of the Civil Service of the Federation, directing that the finding of the Head of Service on circumstance of Maina sudden return should be submitted to the office of the Chief of Staff to the President, Mallam Abba Kyari, before the end of work today, Monday.
Maina was dismissed in 2013 by the Federal Civil Service Commission following a recommendation by the Office of the Head of Service.
He suddenly resurfaced recently as director in charge of human resources in the Ministry of Interior.
The minister of Interior, Abdulrahman Dambazau, who by a statement by his press secretary, Ehisienmen Osaigbovo, confirming the recall on Sunday, however blamed Maina’s recall on the Office of the Head of Service of the Federation and the Federal Civil Service Commission. [myad]
