Governor Seriake Dickson of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) is in clear early lead in the state governorship election held today throughout the state, even as the election was marred by violence and bloodletting.
The violence was said to have claimed the lives of a policeman and four others. The policeman was killed in Famgbe, a remote suburb in Yenagoa, the state capital. He was said to have been killed because he refused to allow the thugs change results in the area.
