There are indications that the former National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Senator Ali Modu Sheriff is making moves to return to the All Progressives Congress (APC).
Mdo Sheriff, whose reign as PDP Chairman was characterized by controversies and in-house fighting, today, Thursday, held a closed door meeting with Vice President Yemi Osinbajo at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.. The National Chairman of the APC, Chief John Odigie-Oyegun was also at the presidential villa for a separate meeting which political pundits said might not be unconnected with the Modu Sheriff’s moves.
Modu Sheriff would not speak to news men when he emerged from the meeting and was confronted by State House correspondents.
Reports have it that many of Sheriff’s loyalists have since indicated their desire to decamp from the PDP to other political parties. [myad]
