Buhari Wishes New British PM Good Luck On Moves To Quit EU

President Muhammadu Buhari wished the newly elected British Prime Minister, Boris Johnson good luck on moves to exit European Union.

Buhari said, in a congratulatory message to Boris on what he called “his resounding election victory in the United Kingdom general election,” in a statement today, December: “I wish you the best of luck as you navigates the people of Britain through the decisive period of leaving the European Union.”

The President expressed satisfaction with Britain for being a reliable and historically unique ally of Nigeria, “and has particularly supported this administration’s efforts at improving security and recovering stolen assets held in the UK.

He said that he will continue to work with the Prime Minister to forge a stronger Nigeria-UK relationship, especially in the area of trade and economic partnerships which greatly benefits the citizens of both countries.
