Diplomatic Face-Off: Iran Accuses Saudi Arabia Of Airstrikes On Its Yemen Embassy

Iran has complained that Saudi Arabian jets have carried out airstrikes on its embassy in Yemen today, and partly damaged it, while several security officers were injured as well.
Jaber Ansari, spokesman of Iranian Foreign Ministry, said in Tehran that the strikes were conscious and deliberate attack from Saudi Arabia.
Ansari said Saudis must pay reparations for the breach of international conventions as Tehran intends to take up the matter.
Shiite Iran and Saudi Arabia back opposite sides in the civil war in Yemen.
Relations were further soured earlier this week when Saudi Arabia executed Shiite Sheikh Nimr al-Nimr, a fiery critic of the kingdom’s Sunni authorities. [myad]
