Nigerian government has filed charges of money laundering, amounting to a total of 423 US Dollars, against the former national security adviser of ex-president Goodluck Jonathan.
Nigerian government has filed charges of money laundering, amounting to a total of 423 US Dollars, against the former national security adviser of ex-president Goodluck Jonathan.
The largest GSM service provider in Nigeria, the MTN, has been fined N1.4 trillion by the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC), the nation’s telecommunications regulator, for failing to disconnect subscribers with unregistered SIM cards bought before January 2012.
This is even as Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) is said to be getting set to investigate its financial dealings following a petition filed by an undisclosed Nigerian government agency.
According to the source close to EFCC, the Commission would be looking into the dealings and the books of the Telco with a view to establishing if it is conforming to financial rules. The investigation would also zero in on whether the non-disconnection of the controversial SIMs gave MTN Nigeria any undue market share advantage over other network operators.
And according to reports, NCC gave all the phone companies to register their existing customers’ SIM cards, but that MTN Nigeria – the biggest telecommunications firm in Nigeria – failed to do.
The N1.4 Trillion fine is the largest in the history of telecom infringements in Nigeria and may redefine the relationships between telecommunications operators and the regulator.
Nigerians continue to complain about poor services from mobile network operators and blame the regulators for not doing enough to solve the problem.
A senior executive at MTN Nigeria said the company will issue a statement on the fine.
Meanwhile, shares in South Africa’s MTN dropped more than 5 per cent today after reports in Nigeria said the mobile phone firm’s Nigerian unit could face a fine of as much as $5.2 billion, traders said. [myad]

“My conclusion was that Kayode Soyinka knew what was coming and he left the room to hide behind the wall. Soyinka ran away to London. That was my principal suspect! ”
This was the conclusion by the retired Deputy Inspector General (DIG) of Police, Chris Omeben, who conducted the investigation into the death, by parcel bomb, of Dele Giwa about 29 years ago.
Soyinka was the London editor of the Newswatch then.
Omeben who was in charge of the research department of the police CID when Giwa was killed, spoke to News Agency of Nigeria (NAN). The former police chief turns 80 on October 27.
He said that the setback he got in the investigation on who killed Dele Giwa, did not in any way deter him from using the evidence he had to follow the lead on Soyinka and that he called on the Newswatch authorities to produce Soyinka.
“I have enough evidence to quiz Soyinka now. Please, Ray Ekpu, can I have Soyinka now?
“They resisted up till today. Up till today, Soyinka never appeared before the police.
“They started to insinuate that the assassination was masterminded by (the then President Ibrahim) Babangida, (General Ali) Akilu, etc. They said that Akilu ought to have been investigated.
“As a matter of fact, I had interrogated Akilu and he told me that yes, they had invited Dele Giwa some few days before the assassination over a negative statement he made about Nigeria in a New York newspaper.
“He said that they had to invite him to tell him that he was wrong for portraying the country in bad light in the international press.
“Akilu insisted that the invitation was not enough to accuse the government of complicity in the assassination of Dele Giwa.
“He satisfied me with his explanation.
“Togun also absolved himself with his own explanation.
“The parcel bomb was said to have the Federal Government logo on it, which to me was not enough evidence. It was more of a circumstantial evidence. I can prove it!
“Go to any printing press if you are a “good” criminal and you are planning well, they can print it for you and place it on the parcel, and it will look as if it came from the government.
“But for me to satisfy myself, I said please gentlemen, can I have Soyinka? Nobody! Soyinka ran away to London. That was my principal suspect!
“He did not appear until eventually I left the CID.
“I was retired from the police in 1989 and what happened after that I don’t know.”
Omeben who is now an Archbishop of the Jesus Families Ministries at Iyana Ipaja, near Lagos said however that Giwa was also careless in maintaining a relationship with his estranged wife.
The former police boss also talked about the high profile investigation that was marred by interferences from “high places,” adding that when he had narrowed in on the principal suspect, who could have thrown more light on the riddle, the suspect was allowed to escape from Nigeria.
“We had an identification parade and got people of different physical attributes to be identified by the day watch.
“Eventually, when one of those paraded was said to bear a resemblance to the person that delivered the bomb, in spite of my insistence to have the man quizzed, we could not, because interference now came from high places to protect the man.
“The man was said to be related to the wife of a governor at that time and as a result of his connection, we came to a dead end on that lead.”
Omeben narrated how Giwa died, saying: “they said somebody brought a parcel and his son, Billy, received the parcel and took it to his father (Dele Giwa), who was having his breakfast that morning.
“On the breakfast table was a man called Kayode Soyinka. He was there. Dele was there and then the son Billy handed over the parcel.
“And as he did so, I heard that Soyinka left the table and went to the adjacent room. It was while he was there that the parcel detonated. Dele was injured and eventually died.
“The metal partition separating the dining room and the kitchen was destroyed. Beyond that, everything in the kitchen was destroyed. If metal could be mangled this way by the bomb, what of human flesh?
“What happened to Soyinka? Nobody could give me an answer.”
Giwa was the founding Editor-in-Chief of Newswatch magazine and was killed through a parcel bomb at his Ikeja, Lagos State residence on October 19, 1986. [myad]

All Progressives Congress (APC) in Rivers State has challenged Chief Nyeson Wike, whose election as Rivers state governor was quashed by the governorship tribunal on Saturday to submit to fresh poll if he is thinks he is popular.
“If Wike and PDP are convinced that they truly won any election in Rivers State, we challenge them not to appeal the Tribunal judgement and let the people of Rivers State decide their in a free and fair election.”
In a statement, the Rivers State chairman of APC, Dr. Davies Ibiamu Ikanya insisted that Wike is aware that in a free and fair election in Rivers State, the APC gubernatorial candidate, Dr Dakuku Peterside, will beat him so mercilessly that he will lose his deposit.
Ikanya lamented the madness being displayed by Wike and the PDP leadership both at the State and the National levels since the Tribunal nullified the election, even as he said that the three-man tribunal could not have done otherwise.
“While these lamentations are understandable, we strongly condemn the reckless utterances of Wike and Rivers PDP that tend to impugn the integrity of the Tribunal. Wike’s loss seems to have affected his sense of reasoning; if not, how could he open his mouth and accuse APC of bribing Tribunals to rule against PDP candidates in the South-South?”
He reminded Wike and PDP that both local and international observers, including the European Community, condemned the Rivers gubernatorial and other elections as a sham and an exercise in impunity, lawlessness and criminality which can only be applauded by mindless and demented persons.
“The truth is that the verdict of the Justice Mohammed Ambrusa-led Tribunal was very much in order and consistent with the facts presented before it by APC and other bodies that participated in that election. We, therefore, wish to appeal to the Tribunal to ignore the ranting and insults being thrown at it by the drowning PDP and her misguided actors.” [myad]

The General Overseer of Household of God Church, Rev. Chris Okotie has said that if it were not Pastor Ayo Oritsejafor’s “false” prophecy to former President Goodluck Jonathan, he would not have contested the 2015 presidential election.
He said that the former President had initially made up his mind not to vie for the election, but that Oritsejafor “deceived” him with tales of victory as prophesied unto him by God.
Okotie, who delivered a sermon in his church on Sunday in Lagos, said: “Pastor Oritsejafor deceived Jonathan with a false prophecy from God that he (Jonathan) would win the election convincingly.
“The man (Jonathan) became convinced to contest after Oritsejafor had told him, using CAN’s name, that God had ordained him the winner of the 2015 presidential election.”
Okotie noted that some members of CAN and the Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria at that time knew Oritsejafor’s prophecy was false, but were scared to speak out.
“They couldn’t speak out because they were scared of being insulted. They were scared of being insulted for saying rubbish. They were scared of being insulted on the pages of newspapers. So, while I continued to write and speak that Jonathan was not the man, those of them who knew the truth in what I was saying chose to keep quiet out of fear.
“I told CAN and PFN that Jonathan was not of God; that whosoever would win would be one that had built a tabernacle in the presence of God.
“I told CAN and PFN that Jonathan did not belong to the House of David and that since he did not belong to the household, his winning would bring more sorrow to Nigeria.”
Okotie said that President Muhammadu Buhari’s victory was an act of God, adding that his emergence was a sign of good things to come.
Quoting Hebrews chapter eight, verses one and two, Okotie said, “Now of the things which we have spoken this is the sum: We have such an high priest, who is set on the right hand of the throne of the Majesty in heavens.
“A minister of the sanctuary, and of the true tabernacle, which the Lord picked, and not man.”
However, responding on behalf of Oritsejafor, the Director of National Issues in CAN, Mr. Sunny Oibe, said that Okotie was looking for popularity through Oritsejafor.
“Well, it is laughable if Chris Okotie is making this spurious allegation…We will not like to take issues with Okotie…because doing that will amount to making him popular. He is looking for popularity which he doesn’t have through Pastor Ayo and he is not going to get it.
“Okotie knows exactly that what he is saying is not true. Nigerians should know that Pastor Oritsejafor is not among those pastors that make prophecies. He does not make prophecy and never said anything during the campaigns. Why would he bring politics into the pulpit?
“This is where we Christians are getting it wrong. They are the ones misleading Nigerians. Oritsejafor never made any prophecy concerning Jonathan and the 2015 presidential election. I challenged any Nigerian with evidence to come forward.”
Pastor Oritsejafor is the President of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN). [myad]

The Rivers State chapter of All Progressives Congress (APC), has expressed shock over the way in which Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has launched a large-scale smear campaign on the Nigerian judiciary following the recent court pronouncements that appear not to favour it candidates at the various election petition tribunals, especially in Akwa Ibom and Rivers States.
“In what is unfolding as an all out war, the PDP National Working Committee (NWC), National Publicity Secretary, Chief Olisa Metuh and various chapters of PDP in Rivers and Akwa Ibom States, have already thrown every caution into the wind in the way they are casting aspersions on the integrity of respected members of the bench, whose only offence is that their meticulous and balanced judgments have exposed PDP’s fraudulent and violent escapades during the 2015 general elections.”
In a statement, the Rivers State APC spokesman, Chris Finebone, the said: “Particularly, the PDP and their members in Rivers State, including even lawyers, have since Saturday launched various bitter tirades against the character and integrity of the Rivers State Election Petition Tribunal members. Some have openly tried to establish family and marital relationship between the tribunal chairman and some top government officials, knowing same to be false, mendacious and malicious.”
The APC said that it is still stunned that the Spokesman of the Rivers State Governor, Mr. Opunabo Inko-Tariah would state that, “The tribunal has delivered the ruling it was asked to deliver.”
The APC therefore condemned this kind of unguarded vituperation by a government official against a tribunal of eminent judges.
“In summary, the APC understands that by turning to destroy the Nigerian judiciary, the PDP is only employing its usual tactics of intimidation and blackmail whenever their members find themselves at the wrong end of the law, whether over corruption cases or electoral matters as is the present case. This motive common with bandits and buccaneers have proven to fail the PDP in the past and will surely fail them this time around.”
The APC said it is worried that a particular media outlet, the African Independent Television (AIT), owned and operated by a PDP Chieftain, has offered itself as the foremost platform for the PDP to execute its insidious smear campaign against the Nigerian judiciary.
The APC recalled that prior to last week, the APC have had a number of rulings go against the party and its candidates at the various national assembly election petition tribunals, especially for Rivers State where over 90 percent of the rulings favoured the PDP and its candidates.
“Neither the APC National Working Committee (NWC) nor the various affected state chapters of the party came out to impugn the integrity of our judiciary. The APC took those outcomes with equanimity and proceeded on appeal in most cases without declaring war on the judiciary the way the PDP is doing now.” [myad]
The Governor ship Election Petition Tribunals of Plateau and Delta States have given clean bill of health Governors Simon Lalong, All Progressives Congress (Plateau state) and Ifeanyi Okowa of Peoples Democratic Party (Delta state). The Tribunals upheld their victories in the April 11, 2015 governorship elections.
The Plateau PDP candidate, Gyang Pwajok had challenged the election of Lalong in Plateau state, alleging that the election was fraught with many irregularities. He prayed the Tribunal to annul the election and to declare him the winner.
The Chairman of the tribunal, Justice Lanre Akeredolu in his ruling in Jos, the Plateau State capital, dismissed the petition for want of merit.
This was even as the Delta State Governorship Election petition sitting in Asaba, the state capital, also upheld the election of Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
The Tribunal dismissed the petitions of the Labour Party (LP) and All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship candidates in the 2015 governorship election, Chief Great Ovedje Ogboru and Olorogun O’tegha Emerhor respectively.
Meanwhile, Speaker of the Delta State House of Assembly, Ovwigho Igbuya has congratulated Dr. Okowa for his victory at the Tribunal and praised the judiciary for remaining the protector of the oppressed.
In a statement by his Chief Press Secretary, Mr. Henry Ebireri, the speaker described the April 11 governorship election as the fairest and freest in the history of the state.
“Your victory at the Tribunal shows that the people of Delta State clearly authorized your candidature. It also shows that the judiciary is the last hope of the common man.”
He commended Okowa for running a transparent and accountable government and also placing the state on the world map for good, growth and development.
Igbuya who also praised the governor for the pragmatic steps taken to address the problems in the various sectors, the development of democratic culture and stable polity, the creation of jobs for the people and the elevation of politics beyond the mundane levels of wrangling, greed and selfishness, said the governor in the last six months focused on administering the State, with the fear of God and for the good of the people.
“Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa is a caring governor. He believes in merit and places top priority on the welfare of the people. He has relentlessly pursued a vigorous policy for provision of social facilities and infrastructure.”
He said that God threw up Governor Okowa to develop the state, even as he called on the governor to keep up the good works.
He enjoined Chief Great Ogboru and Olorogun O’tega Emerhor to support Governor Okowa in transforming the state.
“There is no victor, no vanquished.” [myad]
The end of personal vendetta and throwing of invectives by the Noble Laureate, Professor Wole Soyinka and former Nigeria President, Chief Olusegun Obasanjo, at each other is not yet on sight.
Professor Soyinka, in his latest book, titled: InterInterventions: Between Defective Memory and the Public Lie – A Personal Odyssey in the Republic of Liars described Chief Obasanjo as an overgrown child of circumstance.
Professor Soyinka’s book, which was presented in Abeokuta, Ogun State at the weekend was obviously a reaction to Obasanjo’s latest biography, titled, My Watch, described in InterInterventions as Three-Carat Watch.
While Soyinka said that he used to be friendly with Obasanjo and admitted in the book that some stakeholders were making efforts to reconcile them, he said he owed it a responsibility to fundamentally respond to lies that Obasanjo allegedly told against him.
“However, it does appear to me that there is no end to this individual’s capacity for infantile mischief, and for needless, mind-boggling provocations, such as his recent ‘literary’ intrusion on my peace.
“I brainstormed with him over meals both when he was military Head of State – in Dodan Barracks and in his home, Ota – for some time after he left office and early in Aso Rock at his ‘second coming.’ Today, it is a different situation. If he offered to host me, I would wait until he had first swallowed a morsel from the same dish.
“I had fully attuned myself to the fact that our Owu retiree soldier and prolific author is an infliction that those of us who share the same era and nation space must learn to endure.”
Professor Soyinka said that during the conversation, he commended Obasanjo for the creative way he had developed the Olusegun Obasanjo Presidential Library, which Soyinka, however, described as a Presidential Laundromat and a product of executive extortion.
Soyinka, who chronicled the various places his path had met with that of Obasanjo since childhood, insisted that the lies in which the former President allegedly thrived were so unthinkable that he and some other people had started working on another book solely focusing on Obasanjo.
He questioned the godliness to which Obasanjo professed and claimed that the former President indulged in identity theft.
“Our author invokes God tirelessly, without provocation, without necessity and without justification, perhaps preemptively, but does he really believe in such an entity? Does our home-bred Double-O-Seven believe in anything outside his own Omnipotence? Could he possibly have mistaken the Christian exhortation – ‘Watch and Pray’ – for his own private inclination to ‘Watch and Prey? This is a seasoned predator on others’ achievements. He preys on their names, their characters, their motivations, their true lives; preys on gossip and preys on contributions to collective undertakings – even preys on their identities, substituting his own where possible.” [myad]

Prince Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi from the Giesi Ruling House has emerged the new Ooni of Ife.
The appointment of the new Ooni was contained in a statement late yesterday by the Secretary to the Osun State Government, Alhaji Moshood Olalekan Adeoti.
The appointment was ratified by the Osun State Governor, Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola.
Adeoti said in the statement that the choice of new Ooni followed the completion of the due process by the kingmakers and the communication of their decision to the Government.
Ogunwusi succeeds Oba Okunade Sijuwade who died on July 28, 2015. Sijuwade was aged 85.
The new Ooni, described in many circles as the Prince of the Source, a fearless and self-made business man, Prince Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi, being the 4th direct descendant of the Giesi family, is in all context, the man for the throne.
About 40 years ago in the ancient city of Ile-Ife, a prince was born into the Giesi Ruling House, Ojaja Royal Compound of Agbedegbede in Ile-Ife. He was named Adeyeye. Prince Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi was quietly delivered into the humble family of Prince Ropo and Late Mrs. Margaret Wuraola Ogunwusi (Ile Opa family compound, Ile Ife). The father was a radio and television anchor and presentation star that spanned the entire mid-1980s to early 21st century in the South-western part of Nigeria. Though born quietly, Prince Ogunwusi’s excellence and outstanding acumen would soon start to announce itself for the world to behold.
An astute entrepreneur, driven by turning ‘impossibilities to possibilities’, Adeyeye’s power of imagination has set him aside, revolutionizing his approach to creativity and innovation. A distinct achiever, with the conscience of youthful excellence, his ambition is exceptional with savvy business ideas, making a mark in his immediate society and beyond.
He has been involved in engineering, procurement and construction locally and abroad for over 12 years and he is also actively involved in the development of over 2,500 housing units with various consortia of developers/promoters over eight years in Nigeria. He facilitated strong trade relationship through Association for International Business (AIB) with presence in over 200 member countries across the globe which he set up in Nigeria. One of the key achievements of this body is the trade facilitation between the United Arab Emirates (Jebel Ali free Trade Zone Development) and Federal Government of Nigeria through Nigerian Investment Promotion Commission (NIPC). He was a co-organizer for Ondo State Economic Planning and Implementation Committee. He led the Government delegation team to Canada in 2002 for strategic alliances and partnership with Ondo State Government on solid mineral potentials of the state (Bitumen, Dimension Stones, Granite, etc.) which led to the formation of Amalgamated Mining and Exploration Company Limited – wholly owned by Ondo State Government. He was involved in the facilitation and development of Sparkwest Steel Galvanizing Plant (the only Steel Galvanizing Plant in Nigeria), National Iron Ore Mining Company Limited and Jakura Mines resuscitation projects, which has eventually become the major limestone feed stock to Obajana Cement Plant in Kogi State, Nigeria.
Prince Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi was involved with trading and marketing of commodities, the main facilitator for Dangote Group’s break into the ‘up-country supply chain consortium’ between 1996 and 1999. He also traded for Dohagro Allied, Global Apex, Olam, Clemco, Stallion Group, Milan Group, etc, at about the same period. This is where he gained expertise in marketing prowess which up till date is one of his major strengths. He also facilitated the biggest lead and aluminum recycling plant set up in Nigeria by National Steel Company of India in Ota, Ogun State.
He began his strides in the real estate sector with various dredging and land reclamation projects in Lagos State. Adeyeye is the initiator of Essential Homes, a real estate product launched in January 2014 formed to deliver affordable upscale homes to the middle and low income earners. The first phase of the product (The Southpointe Estate, Lafiaji Road, Lekki, Lagos State) started in February 2014, and has been successfully delivered within 1 year with about 60 percent occupancy recorded. This attests to the huge market demand and acceptability of the Essential Homes product.
He also led the team that developed the beautiful Northpointe Estate Phase I, II, III and Midland Court, on Chevron Drive, Lekki, Lagos. In addition, Prince Adeyeye has successfully undertaken more multi-billion naira projects across Lagos and environs; Jacob Mews Estate, Yaba, Lakeview Park I and II Estates Lekki, the ongoing Golden Leaf Estate, Lafiaji, Lekki and Grand Lake Estate, Ajah, Lagos.
Adeyeye also has clear track record of community development starting with his home town. Four years ago, during the occasion of his mum’s funeral, the community was without any form of electricity. Adeyeye went ahead to install transformers and light poles, generated electricity which till today, the community still boasts of. This electrification project is also being extended to other parts of the town. Part of his community development strides has also extended to the Lafiaji community, off Orchid Hotel Road, Lekki-Epe expressway, Lagos, with the opening up and reconstruction of a 6.5km road, with a 1.1km green extension without Government intervention. He also embarked on the electrification of this whole stretch which is being powered by his company, Gran Imperio Group.
In just one year, to actualize his dream of the development of one of the best resorts in Nigeria, he led a team that opened up a remote jungle, Inagbe Island, Amuwo Odofin LGA, Lagos, into a whole new community offering spectacular world class relaxation and recreational facilities. The multi-billion Naira Inagbe Grand Resorts and Leisure, Lagos, Nigeria is the first of its kind in the whole of West Africa bounded by the Lagoon and Atlantic Ocean. With this feat, he is set to increase the country’s GDP through tourism and reduce unemployment by providing direct and indirect employment. At the launch of this magnificent project in December 2013, the Managing Director of First Bank Plc., Mr. Bisi Onasanya, told The Nation Newspaper (published on December 13, 2013) that tourism remains a veritable means of entrepreneurship and revenue earner for Nigeria, hence it should be given necessary support. The First Bank boss also said this at the unveiling of the signage of the resort, “It is a shame to some of us that we have waited this long for a younger person to come and wake us up and show us what we are able to do.”
Earlier this year, Prince Adeyeye also intimated the youth of Ile-Ife of his plan to replicate this remarkable project in Ile-Ife, having already acquired good land mass for the project. Interestingly, he has an incredible master plan to rebrand Ife and take it to greater heights. On the March 7, 2015, Adeyeye was a recipient of the prestigious NIDSA (National Ife Descendants Students’ Association) Gold Award for 2015 on the occasion of their Ife Day celebration.
Prince Adeyeye enjoys being in the midst of his workers, celebrates and dances with them, dines with them, jokes and of course gets on the work grind with them. He is a grass root fellow to the core and lover of the youth. His humility is second to none. Being a philanthropist, Adeyeye has sponsored less privileged children and youth in Ile-Ife and Lagos where he lives. Some youth are still beneficiaries of Adeyeye’s scholarship platform till date.
Adeyeye is presently an employer of over 300 indigenous youth at the Inagbe Cocowood Factory – Essential Homes Furniture brand, first of its kind in Nigeria using 100% indigenous raw materials for production. He has over 450 direct employees across his various companies, and over 3000 indirect employees.
Prince Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi is a Director on the Board of Directors of Imperial Homes Mortgage Bank Limited (formerly GTHomes), a leading National Mortgage Bank and former subsidiary of one of the biggest banks in Africa, GTBank Plc. He is also a Director, FinaTrust Microfinance Bank Limited, one of Nigeria’s foremost microfinance banks focusing on SMEs and micro credit facilities. He is the founder and managing director of Gran Imperio Group, the holding company of real estate and construction, manufacturing, facilities management, leisure and tourism companies in Nigeria.
Prince Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi holds a Higher National Diploma in Accountancy from the Polytechnic, Ibadan, where he started cutting his teeth in outstanding entrepreneurship, even as a student. To mention a few, the prince of Ile-Ife, the Source, is a member of dignified professional bodies, namely, Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN), an associate accounting technician and a certified member of the Institute of Directors (IoD) Nigeria. He is also an active member of Global Real Estate Institute (GRI), having participated at various levels.
To be a prince in Yoruba land is in itself outstanding. To be a prince of the Source, Ile-Ife, the cradle of civilization is to be truly blue-blooded. Very passionate about what he believes in, people and possibilities, Adeyeye has achieved giant strides even from his very youthful age.
Prince Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi has been involved in remarkable partnerships with dignified royal fathers in some of his real estate developments – HRM, Oba Saheed Elegushi, Kusenla III, Elegushi of Ikate Land, Lagos (Development of LakeView Park 2, Lafiaji, Off Orchid Hotel Road, Lekki – Epe Expressway), HRM, The Ooni of Ife, Oba Okunade Sijuade, (development of Northpointe Estate, Chevron Drive, Lekki, Lagos), HRM, Oba Oyekan, Onilado, of Ilado Inagbe Island, Lagos, (Development of Inagbe Grand Resorts and Leisure, Lagos), HRM, Oba Adedapo Tejuoso, The Oranmiyan Osile Oke Ona of Egba Land, Abeokuta (development of The Lord’s Estate, Buckswood College Abeokuta), HRM, Oba Oloruntoyin Saliu, the Oloworo of Oworonsoki, Lagos (partners in the proposed Oworonsoki Redevelopment Scheme, Lagos), HRM Oba Akinloye, Ojomu of Ajiran Land, Lekki – a host to several developments which Adeyeye has embarked on, HRM, The Olofa of Offa, Oba Mufutau Muhammed Gbadamosi (partnership during the rice and sugar merchandising for Dangote Group and others).
A highly dignified man, fearless and daring, a self-made man who not only has passion for his home town but his country as a whole, who has and is working in the improvement of the society at large whilst he spends his time and money to preserve and showcase the cultural heritage of his people and tradition of Ile-Ife, he is also creating job opportunities for the indigenes of Ife.
He is loved and highly respected by the people of Ile-Ife. The Prince is someone who has stayed and is very much in touch with his roots and tradition. A man of honour who already has started making a difference in the city of Ife, he has close alliances with some of the most esteemed royal fathers, leaders and kings men.
Truly, it’s a new dawn and Ife will never remain the same again. [myad]
Chief Nyesom Wike, whose election as Governor of Rivers State was annulled on Saturday by the Rivers State Governorship Election Petition Tribunal sitting in Abuja, has alleged that N23 billion was given as bribe to tribunal judges by the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) to nullify the election of all South-South states governors who are members of the opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
He wrote on his Facebook wall over the weekend: “Election Petition tribunal was directed to nullify the election of all South-South states governors. A total of 23 billion was paid to the tribunal judges by APC. They are to pass the order that the election did not comply substantially with election guidelines and orders INEC to conduct election within 90 days.
“How can a party win all Senate seats, all House of Representatives seats, all State Assembly, 97% votes in presidential election and they could tell the public that the party did not win the governorship?
“Keep calm, we must appeal.” [myad]
