The Association of Resident Doctors, Abuja, Nigeria Federal Capital Territory (ARD-FCT) have begun a seven-day warning strike.
The strike action was announced in a statement today, September 8, by the association’s president, Dr. George Ebong, and other executive members.
The resident doctors described the FCT health system as a “long-standing systemic failure” and that it needs immediate and thorough reform.
The association said that doctors in the FCT are under immense pressure, frequently covering multiple departments.
