President Muhammadu Buhari, former Nigeria Vice President Atiku Abubakar and the national leader of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), Asiwaju Bola Tinubu have sent words of advice to the newly appointed Emir of Zazzau in Kaduna State, Ambassador Ahmed Nuhu Bamalli
While President Buhari advised Ahmed Bamali to use his new appointment to foster unity among all interests in the emirate, Atiku asked him to build on legacy of predecessor even as Tinubu called on him to consolidate on the tremendous gains recorded by the late Emir, Alhaji Shehu Idris..
President Buhari said: “I congratulate you on making history by becoming the first emir from the Mallawa ruling house in 100 years. You deserve the appointment and I am confident you will justify the confidence reposed in you.
“While you bask in the glory of the moment, I want you to be the leader to all and treat all your people fairly in the performance of your duties.
“This is a challenging moment and therefore, I want you to use this opportunity to unite all members of the ruling houses for the interest of your people. May Allah grant you wisdom and guidance in the discharge of this responsibility.”
On his part, Atiku said: “although the shoes of the late Emir are big, I am still confident that Alhaji Ahmed Nuhu Bamalli is up to the task and responsibilities expected of him.”
According to Atiku, who was the Presidential candidate of the opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP in the last election, peace and unity are among some of the challenges facing Nigeria, including Kaduna State, and urged the new Emir to focus on confidence building efforts in his domain.
Asiwaju Tinubu, on his part, prayed to Allah to grant the new Emir divine wisdom, guide and to protect him so that he can steer the ship of the Emirate successfully.
