Buhari Celebrates Sultan Of Sokoto At 66

President Muhammadu Buhari is celebrating the Sultan of Sokoto, Muhammadu Sa’ad Abubakar 111, as he marks his 66th birthday today, August 24.

In a statement by the special adviser to the President on media and publicity, Femi Adesina, the President acknowledged the Sultan for being steadfast in championing the cause of peace and unity in the country through regular counselling the institutions, professionals and public servants to abide by acceptable standards.

He acknowledged the patriotic role the Sultan has been playing, especially in always advocating for a better Nigeria.

He also confirmed that Sultan Sa’ad has continued to work with religious, traditional and political leaders to guide followers on making the right choices that safeguard and ensure a brighter future.

Buhari acknowledges the maturity and selflessness of Sultan of Sokoto, whom he described as “the revered leader of Nigerian Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs (NSCIA), since he ascended the throne in 2006.

The President prayed for the wellbeing of the spiritual leader and his family.
