The Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, Hajiya Khadija Bukar Abba Ibrahim, has resigned from the cabinet of President Muhammadu Buhari.
She announced her resignation at the Federal Executive Council (FEC) meeting today, Wednesday at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.
The Minister, at the FEC meeting, signified her desire to leave the cabinet, in line with existing regulations, to run for a federal legislative seat in her native Yobe State.
President Buhari, who had since accepted her resignation, wished her success in her electoral contest.
