A Sabo-Yaba Chief Magistrates’ Court in Lagos has remanded Afrobeat singer, Seun Kuti for additional four days for allegedly slapping a police officer.
Chief Magistrate Adeola Olatubosun gave the ruling after listening to an application by Simon Lough (SAN).
The ruling means that Seun will remain in police custody till May 22.
Lough told the judge earlier that the extension is to allow further investigation into the case.
Seun is charged with assaulting a police officer.
He allegedly committed the offence on May 13 on the Third Mainland Bridge, Lagos State.
The police charged him with slapping an inspector after driving dangerously on the bridge and deliberately blocking a moving police vehicle.
