A legal practitioner in Port Harcourt, Rivers State, Bardi Robert is now in the net of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) for allegedly converting the sum ofN15.7 Million he won for his client Igwe Ugochukwu in court to his personal use.
Bardi Robert allegedly received the judgment fund in three tranches – N10,000,000, N737,187, and N4,975,000.
According to the EFCC spokesman, Wilson Uwujaren, in a statement today, January 14, said that the suspect allegedly eloped with funds awarded by Rivers State High Court.
Uwujaren said that the alleged accomplice, Obinna Friday Egwom, is still at large, adding however that the suspect would be charged to court as soon as investigation is concluded.
