An undergraduate of Delta State University, Abraka, Bassey Aniekan, has admitted that he used Indian hemp to bake the cake which he gave to his fellow female student, aged 17.
According to the Delta state spokesperson of the police command, DSP Celestina Kalu in a statement in Asaba, after eating the cake, the victim started behaving abnormally and was admitted to hospital for treatment.
The incidence was reported to the police in Abraka on September 2 after which Bassey was reported to have confessed during the interrogation, that he added Indian hemp to the ingredients used in baking the cake.
