According to the Delta State Police Command spokesperson who confirmed his custody, Bright Edafe, Ikolo arrived at the state police command headquarters on Thursday evening, promptly presenting himself to Police Commissioner Olufemi Abaniwonda at precisely 6:41 pm.
In an interaction with the media before his surrender, the monarch resolutely maintained his innocence regarding the matter.
Earlier on the same day, the Defence Headquarters had issued a list of individuals wanted for their alleged involvement in the tragic loss of military personnel.
Alongside Ikolo, the wanted individuals included Prof. Ekpekpo Arthur, Andaowei Dennis Bakriri, Akevwru Daniel Omotegbo (also known as Amagben), Akata Malawa David, Sinclear Oliki, Reuben Baru, and Igoli Ebi.
