Former President Olusegun Obasanjo has predicted that before he dies, Lagos will become Africa’s third largest economy.
“Lagos will become the third largest economy before I take my boarding pass.”
Obasanjo, who spoke at the launching of a book titled: “Making Africa Work,” co-authored by the former president and three others, said that the Lagos State government is working towards making the state an economic hub.
The former President said that Africa is not a poor continent but that the continent is poor by choice.
“Africa is poorly managed. We are poor by choice and we will also get out of that poverty by choice.”[myad]
