The immediate past governor of Kogi State, Yahaya Bello has presented himself before the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), months after he was declared wanted in April for avoiding the anti graft agency.
A statement today, September 18, by Ohiare Michael, his media office said that he decided to present himself to the EFCC after consultations with his family, legal team and political allies.
“It is our hope that the Commission will be as professional as necessary and respect his fundamental rights as a citizen of the Federal Republic of Nigeria,” the statement said.
The statement said that the details of Yahaya Bello’s engagement with the operatives of the anti-graft agency would be disclosed later.
