FCT Minister, Wike, Describes Planned Nationwide Protest As Political Gimmick

“We are going to elections very soon; these are political gimmicks.”
This was the conclusion drawn by the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyeson Wike, regarding the planned nationwide protest by Nigerians over hardships in the country.
Speaking to newsmen yesterday, July 23, after an inspection of some projects, the minister insisted that President Bola Tinubu inherited what he called “rotten country.”
“The country is rotten. You know that the country is rotten, and a government has just come to see what it can do to, at least, move it from where we are to a certain level, and you say that miracle must be performed within one year.
“You are here now, we are talking about a project that was awarded 13 good years ago, what has happened? Nothing.
“Now a government has come to see how it can fix all these things and we are in too much of a hurry demanding that it must be done now. It is not possible.
“So, let’s not listen to political protesters and political jobbers who just want to be popular. You know there are some people who believe that if they don’t criticise, they will not be popular.
“Just know that the government is a serious government and working to solve the problem.
“We believe that things will turn around, but we should be patient with the government.”

  1. TOO MANY TALKS OF PROTESTS AND AN ALL-DAYS AFFAIRS IN Nigeria. DO PEOPLE HAVE ANYTHING ELSE DOING OR ANY MEANINGFUL ENGAGEMENTS TO GT THEM BUSY?

If it is not the clueless leadership of the NLC, it is FACELESS cowards who feasts on chaos and disorderliness in the society.

In the African Argument magazine reads the below header. And you begin to do a preponderant punting about the souls and heads of people. The Rilwan who wrote the piece may not know enough about Nigeria.

“Tinubu’s Nigeria: A year at the edge of the abyss”.

“However, Rildwan maintains that the real solutions to the crisis must come from the government and the majority of these solutions are long term. “We want to raise productivity (so we ask): Can we produce? Can we secure farmland for farmers so that displaced farmers can return to farm? Can we get subsidies on inputs that they import because almost all the fertilizers they use are imported? All of these things are part of what we have to look at.”””

Rildwan MAY HAVE GOTTEN IT WRONG THAT THE REAL SOLTIONS TO THE CRISIS MUST COME FROM THE GOVERNMENT. ABSOLUTELY NOT.

while agreeing to the short-term solution resting squarely on the shoulders of government.

It is the MISDIRECTED and MISGUIDED Nigerians that should stop the MISCONCEPTION that the government must be the SOLE solution to the quantum of problems confronting the nation. Some if and not all being our own making. https://mickykarim.blog/2024/03/07/spurious-thoughtless-staccatos-in-nigeria/

    WE ARE OUR OWN PROBLEMS.

We want magical solutions to all the problems bedevilling the country. we want a quick fix to agelong issues that we caused by our individual corrupt practices and moral decadence.

Imagine a former governor of the Central bank of Nigeria caught and being tried for MISMNAGEMENT of our collective commonwealth and still have some of us crying wolf of human right for the DEVIL that neither respected nor recognized our rights to decent living whilst in office because he was privileged to have occupied an office entrusted in his care, temporarily.

The former governor of the Nigerian treasury forgot that the office was transient. It never occurred to Godwin Emefiele that he could be called to account one day and that there could be a day of reckoning at any point in time. The pain he inflicted on Nigerians with a pointless unwarranted and needless currency change that confiscated people’s money due to senseless and not well thought out fiscal policies which has now been unearthed as forgery and misrepresentation of the government of Mohamodu Buhari. It was revealed that Godwin Emefiele forged the signature of the former president to justify his RECKLESS monetary misadventure that led some Nigerians to untimely deaths because their hard-earned money was not handy when needed. Betrayed by the banks and the Central bank under Godwin Emefiele.

President Ahmed Bola Tinubu could only try much and without the collective will to turn things around for our collective good and wellbeing, would be grooving in the shadows and stay permanently in the woods for ENDLESS complaints and wailings that leads nowhere. https://mickykarim.blog/2023/06/09/a-new-dawn-by-no-mean-feat/

IT IS Nigerians THAT MUST CHANGE THEIR ORIENTATIONS TO THE COUNTRY AND FELLOW PATRIOTS
