Chairman of the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON), Abdullahi Mukhtar, Thursday, appeared before the Code of Conduct Bureau (CCB) for alleged false declaration of asset.
Sources at the CCB said that Mukhtar was being investigated over many assets he secretly possessed without declaring them, saying that he only declared that he had N500 Million.
It was learnt that the Hajj Commission boss was first invited for interrogation by the Economic and Financial Crime Commission (EFCC) sometime last week, and was allowed to go when the Commission discovered it was not its case.
