Hajiya Amina Namadi Sambo, Wife of the Vice President, Mohammed Namadi Sambo has assured Diabetes Help Enlightenment Organization (DHEO) of her support at all times.
Amina Sambo, who received the officials of the None Governmental Organization (NGO) in Abuja, promised to give necessary assistance to diabetic patients in the country.
She called on all meaning Nigerians to assist the patients to overcome their condition and live healthy life, even as she commended the NGO for its enduring efforts to identify with diabetes patients.
Hajiya Amina Sambo expressed gratitude to the NGO for making her patron, adding that she would use the opportunity to further render more humanitarian service to the nation.
She said that she would use her Pet project, I-CARE Women and Youth Initiative, a non-governmental organization which has enabled her to reach out to many Nigerians on maternal and child care, education for the girl-child, and to assist the less privileged to collaborate with the diabetes organization.
Hajiya Amina Sambo rolled off the banner to enlighten the public on the prevention, early symptoms and management of the disease for healthy living.
The leader of the Diabetes Help Enlightenment Organization, Hajiya Aisha Buka Ali expressed appreciation to the Vice President’s wife for her support for humanitarian service to the nation.
She explained how they have been creating awareness on how people can prevent the occurrence of diabetes and how to manage the disease for a healthy life, in various hospitals in Abuja.
Hajiya Aisha pleaded with the wife of the Vice President to help in strengthening their support for the patients and to incorporate other States’ hospitals in Nigeria into their campaign.
