A 25 year old newly-married woman, Kate Elizabeth Prichard, was alleged to have pulled a gun from her wedding gown and put it on the groom’s head during an argument hours after they wedded.
According to policemen in Tennessee, South of USA, who arrested her said that when the couple arrived at the motel where they lodged after the wedding, they found Elizabeth and her husband fighting. Police said she pulled a gun out of her wedding dress and pulled the trigger during the argument.
Murfreesboro Police Sergeant, Kyle Evans told BBC: “She pulled out of her wedding dress a 9mm pistol, pointed it at her new husband’s head and pulled the trigger.”
The Police said that the bride then loaded a round into the chamber and fired a shot in the air, causing bystanders to run away.
Elizabeth, who was still on her wedding dress when she was arrested, faces aggravated domestic assault charges. Officers recovered the weapon in a bathroom.[myad]
