Governor Emeka Ihedioha has promised to rebuild Imo State spiritually and economically from the ruins of the past government.
The governor, who inaugurated the Planning Committee for the Imo Day Of Thanksgiving today, December 4 at the government House in Owerri, the State capital, said: “liight has taken His rightful place in the State, as the days of darkness is over.”
Governor Ihedioha, who had received the Primate-Elect of the Anglican Communion, Most Rev. Henry Ndukuba, in audience, tasked the committee to organize successful interdenominational Thanksgiving Service, to thank God for His Mercies on the State and the people.
This was even as the Primate-elect commended Governor Ihedioha for dedicating the State to God and urged him not to despair, assuring that God will see him though if he maintains his faith on Him.
Chairman of the committee who is the Special Adviser on political affairs to the governor, Jones Onyereri, assured that the committee will live up to expectation and bring the people of the State, irrespective of denominations to thank God for delivering them from bondage of the past administration.
The committee comprise of the clergy drawn from various denominations across the State, appointees of the government and others.
