The re-elected executive governor of Kwara state, Alhaji Abdulfatah Ahmed has sacked almost all the political appointees in the services of the state, including the dissolution of his entire executive council cabinet with immediate effect.
Others affected by the clean-sweep are Special Advisers, Senior Special Assistants, Special Assistants, Liaison Officers and Youth Employment Coordinators.

Also affected according to the statement are all boards of government owned companies,commissions,
The governor, in the statement, directed the commissioners to hand over government’s properties in their custody to permanent secretaries,while heads of other MDAS must hand over to the most senior officer in their establishment.
the governor thanked all the affected political office holders for what he described as their immeasurable contributions to the success of his administration in the last four years and wished them success in their future endeavours.
He also looked forward to a continued robust partnership to move the state forward,the statement said.
