The National Broadcasting Commission (NBC) has extended the notice to August 23 for the shut down television and radio broadcasting stations across the country to renew their licences.
In a two paragraph statement today, August 20, NBC said that the decision was taken to temper justice with mercy on the affected stations “following intervention of Concerned Groups and visible concerted efforts by some defaulting Licensees to offset their debts.”
The statement was signed by the Director General of the NBC.
