Nigeria Army Swoops On Boko Haram, Arrests 4 Kingpins

Boko Haram leaders arrestedThe Nigeria army made a major haul on Boko Haram insurgents today, Friday, with the arrest of four insurgents described as Kingpins of the deadly group.

The arrest of the kingpins was said to have been made by troops of the 3 Battalion of 22 Task Force Brigade.

They were picked up  in Rann, Kala-Balge Local Government Area (LGA), Borno State following a tipoff.

According to military sources, the troops, working on such tipoff from the people in the area, conducted a thorough search leading to the arrest of the kingpins.

Names of the arrested terrorists were given as Umara Mai Gyaran Rediyo, a radio technician, Umaru Mai Nama, a cattle herding and sales specialist, Alifa Makinta, a specialist in stealing foodstuffs, and Balu Jugudum, a jewelry thief.

The suspects are said to be currently undergoing interrogation. [myad]
