Nigeria Police Arrest Journalist, Inuwa Bwala, In Abuja

Some police officers swooped on an Abuja based journalist, Mr. Inuwa Bwala and took him to the Special Anti Robbery Squad (SARS) today, Tuesday.
Eye witnesses said that, Bwala, who is the publisher of the National Trail Newspaper, was picked up along with his driver shortly after arriving in the premises of his office by policemen some of who wore SARS uniform.
Inuwa  is also the spokesman of the Ali Modu Sheriff faction of the Peoples Democratic (PDP)
Efforts by our correspondent to find out the cause of his arrest proved abortive, as  the policemen contacted kept sealed lips. [myad]
