Governor of Ondo State, Rotimi Akeredolu, has tested negative for coronavirus a few days after he was tested positive, even as he moved swiftly to appoint a new Secretary to the State Government (SSG).
Governor Akeredolu, who personally announced his positive coronavirus status last week, today, July 6, also announced that doctors confirmed his negative status after running the test twice.
In a tweet, the governor said he had appointed Temitayo Oluwatuyi as the new Secretary to the Ondo State Government following the resignation of Ifedayo Abegunde.
“Today, I announced the appointment of Hon. Temitayo Oluwatuyi ‘Tukana’ as the Secretary to the State Government (SSG) to resume immediately following the resignation of Hon. Ifedayo Abegunde,” Akeredolu wrote.
Abegunde resigned on Monday and tendered his resignation letter to Akeredolu.
