The Minister of Communication in the Muhammadu Buhari government, Barrister Adebayo Shittu, has been disqualified as governorship aspirant by the screening committee of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
According to information reaching us, Shittu was disqualified because he failed to participate in the mandatory National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) scheme after his graduation from university.
In a list of all aspirants cleared to participate in the primary election slated for tomorrow, Saturday, according to the APC’s spokesperson, Yekini Nabena, the name of Shittu was clearly missing.
Also conspicuously missing is the name of the minister of Women Affairs, Hajiya Aisha Alhassan who put in as aspirant for Taraba State.
