The Speaker of the Kogi State House of Assembly, Momoh Jimoh Lawal, has been impeached.
This is coming days after the leadership of the House said the crisis ravaging the Assembly had been resolved by the national leadership of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
Also impeached today along with Lawal were the Majority Leader, Kolawole Matthew and the Deputy Speaker, Alih Ajuh.
Lawal has dismissed the impeachment, saying that it is a kangaroo exercise. [myad
