Former Nigeria’s Aviation minister and a member of the opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Femi Fani-Kayode has made it clear that Nigeria was not divinely created and therefore, every citizen has the right to self-determination.
Reacting to President Buhari’s appeal to Nigeria as Christians begin Lenten today, Wednesday, that Nigeria was divinely created by God and no one should put it asunder, Fani-Kayode stressed that on the contrary, Nigeria was created by the British.
The former PDP Presidential Council Director of publicity, via tweets, insisted that the right of self-determination is not sacrosanct.
“Firstly, Nigeria’s unity is NOT a divine arrangement but a British arrangement.
“Secondly, the right of self-determination is not only sacrosanct but also guaranteed by int. law.” [myad]
