The Presidential candidate of the Labour Party (LP), Peter Obi, has called on Nigerians to avoid religious and ethnic politics ahead of 2023 elections in Nigeria.
Speaking through his verified Twitter handle today, August 14, Obi, who is the former governor of Anambra state, said that the current state of the nation calls for everyone to come together and shun tribe and religion.
He asked Nigerians to vote candidates whose portfolios show that they can get the job done.
He wrote: “The high cost of living, high level of insecurity and every other challenge is affecting all Nigerians equally, irrespective of tribe and religion.
“We must then unite as one and rally behind capable leaders with verifiable track records of success for the sake of our collective interest.”
