Yahaya Bello Wins Kogi Gov Election With Wide Margin

The incumbent Governor of Kogi State, Alhaji Yahaya Bello of APC has been declared winner of the Kogi state election after polling 406,222 to defeat his closest rival Musa wada of PDP who scored 189,704

Bello, won 12 local government councils while his closest rival, Engr. Musa Wada of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, won 9 local government councils.

The state collation officer and Vice Chancellor of Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, Prof. Ibrahim Garba announced the result at about 11.40 am on Monday after receiving results from the last two local government areas.

About 25 political parties contested the governorship election.
