Power Will Shift To Minority In 2019, Kogi Governor Assures

The Kogi state governor, Captain Idris Wada has given an undertaken to ensure that the next governor of the state after him comes from one of the minority areas of the state.

Wada said that the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), under which he is contesting the November 21 governorship election, will break another ground by being the first to actualize the aspiration of the people for power rotation.
Addressing a crowd of party supporters who thronged the rally ground in Okene for the PDP   Governorship Campaign Flag-off in Kogi state, the governor asked the people of the state to re- elect him for a second term.

He said that his administration has fulfilled most of the promises made to them and is in the process of consolidating on the gains.

At the campaign rally, which saw most of the PDP chieftains canvassing support for Wada, the Deputy Senate President Ike Ekerenmadu, Ondo state governor Olusegun Mimiko and former Chairman of the party, Dr. Ahmadu Ali extolled the virtues of the incumbent governor and urged the people to vote him rather than the APC candidate whom they said cannot be trusted with power.
