Presidency Advises CAN Scribe To Stop Spreading Falsehood Against Buhari

The Presidency has called on the General Secretary of Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), Dr. Musa Asake to stop spreading information that is not correct to Nigerians.

In a statement today, Tuesday, by the senior special assistant to the President on media and publicity, Malam Garba Shehu, the Presidency advised the CAN scribe to stick to his religious duties and leave politics for politicians.

In the statement, the Presidency said: “our attention has been drawn to reports of a press conference by General Secretary of Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), Dr. Musa Asake in which he passed a judgment on the constitutionality of certain actions of the Muhammadu Buhari administration.

“Unfortunately, he could not cite any valid cases of constitutional violations.”

The statement stressed that President Buhari’s government poses no threat to the country’s democracy and Constitution and that there are no cases of any violation of the constitution “and there will be none under this President.
