The Senate President, Dr. Abubakar Bukola Saraki may have had the last laugh as the Supreme Court has ordered the stoppage of his by the Code of Conduct Tribunal even as the federal government promised that the trial is as good as being over.
The order of the Court came today following the Federal Government’s position not to proceed with the criminal case against him at the Code of Conduct Tribunal.
The undertaking was given by the counsel to the Federal Government, Rotimi Jacob (SAN), at the hearing of the case which was instituted by Saraki at the Supreme Court against his trial by the CCT.
This was as the Supreme Court also promised to expedite the hearing of the case. [myad]
