Special Adviser to President Muhammadu Buhari on media and publicity, Femi Adesina has said that provision of security and economic development of any country are continuous work in progress.
Adesina said that at no time a government would completely eliminate insecurity and complete development in all strata of the society.
The Presidential spokesman was contributing to a theme: Economy, Security And National development: The Way Forward, at the 3rd Annual Conference of the Guild of Corporate Online Publishers (GOCOP) today, October 4 in Ikeja, Lagos.
Adesina insisted that President Buhari had achieved a lot in the area of security, saying that insecurity is not confined to Nigeria now.
He described as unfortunate, the notion that Nigerians have always been antagonistic to their leaders as they come.
“If Nigerians are the habit of progressively hating their leaders, as Bishop Mathew Hassan Kukah said, then something fundamentally is wrong with the citizens.”
