Over 50 Fake Ghanaian Journalists Identified At Commonwealth Games, Deported

More than 50 Ghanaians pretending to be journalists have been identified by the officials of the Commonwealth Games in Australia as they tried to gain entry into the venue of theGames and have been deported back to the country.

Information reaching us said that the deportees who could not answer basic questions about sports when they arrived at the venue, were found to be in possession of genuine travel documents.

Meanwhile, Ghana’s assistant Sports Minister, Pious Enam Hadidze, has vowed to investigate the scam, even as he said that the ministry had no hand in the acquisition of visa by the deportees for the trip to the Game.

The 21st Commonwealth Games were officially opened in a spectacular opening ceremony on the Gold Coast. More than 4,500 athletes from 71 nations and territories will be competing for 275 gold medals over the 11 days of the competition.
