A Saudi Arabian Football Club, Al-Ittihad Ladies, have announced the signing-in of a Super Falcons’ defender, Ashleigh Plumptre, though the details are yet to be revealed.
The 25-year-old Plumptre had left Leicester City at the end of last season following the expiration of her contract. She spent three years at Leicester City, netting three times in 62 league appearances.
The star footballer took to her X handle today, September 13, to express her delight over the move by the Saudi Arabian Club.
She wrote: “Grateful to have signed for Al-Ittihad Excited to start this journey alongside some incredible human beings.”
She concluded by saying: “My journey of stepping into more of myself continues… It’s more than football .”
