The United Nations has made a promise to assist the Nigerian Government and all affected neighbouring States in bringing an end to Boko Haram insurgency in the country within the shortest time possible.
The pronouncement is coming on the heels of call for support to quel the menace of Boko Haram from Nigeria’s military,
The UN Secretary-General, Ban Ki-Moon gave the assurance for such assistance in a statement issued today in New York by UN spokesman, Stephane DuJarric. [myad]
