Controversial cross-dresser, Idris Okuneye popularly known as Bobrisky, is to spend the next six months in prison without any option fine for abuse of naira notes.
Justice Abimbola Awogboro of the Federal High Court in Lagos pronounced the jail term today April 12, saying that the judgment will serve as a deterrent to others who are fond of abusing and mutilating the naira.
Bobrisky was prosecuted by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) for naira abuse.
The court had convicted him on April 5, following his guilty plea to a criminal charge brought against him by the commission.
