A group known as Fairwin Support Group has staged a solidarity Roadwalk in support of the re-election bid of the Governor of Kogi State, Alhaji Yahaya Adoza Bello.
The group used the opportunity of the road walk to roll out many of the achievements of the governor, including the tackling of insecurity such as armed robbery, kidnapping and others.
The group’s Director General, Mike Onimisi Ajibade commended the governor for restoration of sanity and security of lives and properties in the state, adding: “businesses can now thrive without fears.”
Ajibade said that with Yahaya Bello in the saddle, the state’s Internally Generated Revenue had grown from N300 million to N1.3 billion and that over 600 unemployed youths have been engaged.
“It is on record that 150 lawyers are engaged to strengthen the judiciary. The Kogi State University, Anyigba now enjoys youthful, vibrant and technologically conscious lecturers.
“The state Ministry of Health and Environment/Natural Resources had it workforces reinvigorated.
“Infrastructure development under Yahaya Bello did not suffer neglect as a lot of multiple road constructions are ongoing concurrently.
“The Kogi state revenue house was constructed within a year. The state school of nursing and midwifery which suffered complete neglect under the previous administrations got rehabilitated to an enviable standard.
“An average of 300 schools benefited from new classrooms being built across the three senatorial districts.
“The establishment of a highly capital intensive Rice processing mill in Kogi West is creating jobs for a lot of youths
“The establishment of Osara Cassava Estate has attracted ethanol producing companies to the state.
“Lokoja, the capital city is gradually becoming an emerging cosmopolitan state with the installation of solar-powered street lights.
“For these and several other developmental strides, The Fairwin support group firmly stand with a detribalised leader who has turned the tides of imbalances in the state.
“We, therefore, enjoin Kogites and delegates to vote for his re-election come August 28’s APC primary and his eventual victory at the November Guber elections.”
