Catholic Archbishop of Abuja Diocese of Abuja, Cardinal John Onaiyekan has said that things must change for the better in Nigeria after the March/April general elections in the country.
Cardinal Onaiyekan who was the former President of the Nigerian Christians’ umbrella body, Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) said in Abuja today: “there has to be change” in the country’s direction.
“I do not care who wins, but whoever wins, there has to be change, because people are not happy with what is happening; people are hungry, people are suffering.”
Cardinal Onaiyekan asked Nigerians to pray for peaceful elections.
