The Executive Council and Members of the African Public Relations Association (APRA) has advised the President of Kenya to dialogue with the people for policy formulation as a way of advertising the violent protest that led to the killing of some citizens of the country.
In a statement today, June 27, by the Secretary-General, Omoniyi Ibietan, fnipr, the APRA asked the Government of Kenya to put the people of Kenya first.
The Association appreciated the fact that the Presidency has already indicated its capacity to engage in conversation with relevant stakeholder.
It advised that such consultations should be done with empathy and an openness to reconciliation.
The Association condoled with all Kenyans over the recent crisis that happened, saying: “we stand in solidarity with our colleagues in the Public Relations Society of Kenya (PRSK).
“We commiserate with the families of those who died and wish a speedy recovery to those injured during the protests.
“We fervently pray for the repose of the souls of the deceased.”
