Men Protest Against Women Using Padded Bras, Hips And Bum Boosters

bum-booster

Some men in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) are protesting the use of body enhancers such as padded braziers, hips and bum boosters by women, describing them as deceptive.

The men said the body enhancers give a wrong impression about the reality of the user’s physique.

Body enhancers are undergarments such as padded braziers, butt’s booster, hip enhancer, waist cincher and others worn by women.

Some of the men who spoke with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) said they found the trend repulsive and unappealing.

Others, however, said the use of body enhancers, particularly padded braziers, added more to a woman’s sexual appeal, makes her more attractive and added to her confidence.

Mr. Timothy Danladi, condemned the use of body enhancers by women which, he described as artificial and falsehood.

“I find the use of artificial buttocks by some women to add more to their God’s given physique unattractive.

“This is because it gives a wrong impression about their stature that will definitely be revealed to their partners when they get married.”

Mr. Emmanuel Alabi said such was based on falsehood and could cause problems in the home since a man was usually attracted to a woman because of her body apart from her intellect, manner and facial beauty.

“If a woman uses artificial things to entice a man into marrying her, nemesis will catch up with her because when he later finds out that those things were fake, it could even lead to break-up of the union.”

Alabi said there was the need for women to be natural to avoid deceiving men and causing problems in their relationships.

This was even as Shuaibu Sabo said that such enhancers only created an illusion that was totally different from reality, advising women to desist from using such unnatural endowment and appreciate the body God gave to them.

“Some women are also not satisfied with what God has given them. They go to any length to change their natural identity which is more attractive than bleached skin and use of body enhancers.”

However, Sani Isuwa said that he found the use of body enhancers attractive, especially for women whose body were not proportionate to other parts.

Isuwa said he did not have any problem or reservation about a woman that uses enhancers which is better than undergoing a surgery as it is predominantly practiced in other countries.

“I prefer a woman to use body enhancers than for her to undergo surgery to add more or distort what God has given her.”

Boniface Eze said he encouraged his wife to us body enhancers due to the change in her body after numerous child delivery, saying: “some women actually need body enhancers to make them more appealing and attractive to the opposite sex.”

According to him, he encourages his wife to use padded bra because nursing five children has changed the shape and size of her breast.

“I prefer my wife to use padded bra because they are no longer the way they used to be after breastfeeding five children.

“When she wears clothes it fits her more than if she uses normal brazier.” Eze said.

Meanwhile, some of the women that use body enhancers told NAN that it boosted their confidence, added more to their sexuality and made clothes more fitting on their bodies.

Mrs. Jecinta Eze, a mother of five, said she could not go out without wearing a padded bra.

“If I don’t use a padded bra, I will look so unattractive and flat-chested,” she told NAN.

Also, Miss Grace Iliya, said she uses hip booster to make the lower part of her body proportionate to her upper part.

“If I don’t use a hip booster, my upper body looks bigger than my lower body because I am busty.

“So, I prefer to use it to make both parts proportionate and it boosts my confidence and makes me look more attractive.”

Meanwhile, Malam Usman Ali, an undergarment trader in Garki Market, said he usually sold padded bras than any of his wares.

Ali said the cost of a padded bra ranges from N350 to N4,500 depending on the quality, while hip booster cost between N700 and N3,500. [myad]

Madagali Suicide Bomb: Buhari Says It Is Boko Haram’s Desperate Last Act

Boko Haram ambush

President Muhammadu Buhari has described the suicide bombing carried out today, Friday, by two female suicide bombers in Madagali, Adamawa state, as an act of desperation by the dying Boko Haram insurgents.

“This latest attack is obviously an act of desperation, but the Nigerian military will neither be distracted nor relent.

“The battle against terrorism is a joint effort involving all citizens, both government and governed. Together, Nigerians can and will defeat the evil that is Boko Haram.”

President Buhari who expressed condolences to the families of victims of the twin bomb blasts in Madagali, which claimed some lives and injured several others, in a statement by his special adviser on media and publicity, Malam Garba Shehu, advised Nigerians to be more vigilant and immediately report any suspicious activity to the nearest security and law enforcement agency.

President Buhari made it clear that putting an end “to this senseless loss of innocent lives remains a top priority of this administration” adding that, “over the past few weeks, the Nigerian military have made significant advancements in an offensive aimed at slamming the final nail in the coffin of Boko Haram.”

He commiserated with the Government and people of Adamawa state over the unfortunate incident, even as he assured them that they are not alone as the rest of nation mourns this grave loss with them.

He prayed to God to comfort the bereaved families in a way that only He can, even as he wished the injured speedy recovery. [myad]

President Muhammadu Buhari has described retired General Theophilus Yakubu Danjuma, whom he said is a longtime associate and senior professional colleague, as a role model, as he celebrates his 79th birthday.

According to the President, in a statement by his senior special assistant on media and publicity, Malam Garba Shehu: “General Danjuma is one of that rare breed of Nigerian leaders, who have consistently proven themselves able and trustworthy in the varying positions they had occupied in government, over time.

“Each of the many times he has been called upon to serve Nigeria, both in the military and as a civilian, his performance has been remarkable.”

President Buhari prayed to God to grant General Danjuma many more years of good health and active service to Nigeria, particularly as he oversees the incipient effort to develop the North-east of the country, which has been ravaged by Boko Haram terrorists. [myad]

Catholic Bishop Describes Bizarre Form Of Schism In The Church As ‘Anti-Gospel’

bishop-athan-schneider

An auxiliary bishop of Astana, Kazakhstan, Catholic Bishop Athanasius Schneider has described what he called “schism” and the scandal and confusion it generates in the Church as having been giving rise to an “anti-gospel,”

The Bishop, who echoed concerns that some bishops apparently are misrepresenting Church teaching on marriage, divorce, and Communion, said a “certain type of schism already exists in the Church” over these issues, and it is a “bizarre form of schism” because the clergy who reportedly are promoting error are using their authority to smear other bishops who are teaching the truth.

Saying that the truth-tellers are being labeled schismatics, Bishop Schneider said that this “schism” and the scandal and confusion it generates is giving rise to an “anti-gospel,” a worldly gospel that looks divine on the outside but is false on the inside.

Bishop Schneider’s remarks were in reference to the handling of Pope Francis’ letter on the family, Amoris Laetitia (The Joy of Love). It apparently is unclear in the letter whether the Pope is saying some divorced and civilly remarried couples, under certain circumstances, may receive Communion at a Catholic Mass, even though they are living, objectively, in a state of adultery, a serious sin.

Some bishops have said yes, this is the case. However, at least four Catholic cardinals have publicly asked Pope Francis to answer this question clearly and simply — yes or no.

Pope Francis has not done so, and some Vatican officials have condemned the four cardinals for asking the Pope for clarification.

On the French internet TV show TV Liberte, as reported by EWTN, Bishop Schneider was asked if the silence, the unanswered questions, added to the risk of potential schism in the Catholic Church. Bishop Schneider, the auxiliary bishop of Astana, Kazakhstan, said, “It is not only a risk of schism but a certain type of schism already exists in the Church.”

“In Greek, schism means to separate oneself from the totality of the Body,” said Bishop Schneider. “Christ is the totality of the Body of Divine Truth, and unity in His supernatural body is also visible. But we are witnessing today a bizarre form of schism. Externally, numerous ecclesiastics safeguard formal unity with the pope, at times for the good of their own careers or out of a kind of papolatry. And at the same time they have broken ties with Christ, the Truth, and with Christ, the true Head of the Church.”

“On the other hand there are ecclesiastics who are denounced as schismatics despite the fact that they live in canonical peace with the Pope, and remain faithful to Christ, the Truth by assiduously promoting His Gospel of Truth.”

“It is evident that those who are internally the true schismatics, in relation to Christ,” he said, “make use of calumnies for the sole purpose of silencing the voice of truth by absurdly projecting their own state of internal schism on those ecclesiastics who, regardless of praise or rebuke, defend the divine truths.”

However, God’s truth cannot be misrepresented forever, said Bishop Schneider. “Even if a number of high ranking officials in the Church today temporarily obscure the truth of the doctrine of marriage and its perennial discipline, this doctrine and discipline will always remain unchangeable in the Church because the Church is not a human foundation, but a divine one,” he said.

As for the Pope’s letter, Amoris Laetitia, Bishop Schneider said his first concern is “the very concrete question of admitting so-called ‘remarried divorcés to Holy Communion. In fact, during the last two synods on the family [in 2014-15], and after the publication of Amoris Laetitia there was, and continues to be to this day, an arduous and tumultuous fight about this concrete question.”

“All of these ecclesiastics who want another gospel, meaning a right-to-divorce gospel, a gospel of sexual liberty — in short, a gospel  without God’s sixth commandment,” said the bishop.

“These ecclesiastics make use of all evil means, that is to say ruses, deceptions, masterful rhetoric and dialectics, and even the tactic of intimidation and moral violence,” he said,  “in order to attain the goal of admitting so-called ‘remarried’ divorcés to Holy Communion, without the latter fulfilling the condition of living in perfect continence, a condition required by divine law.”

“Once the objective is attained, even if limited to so-called exceptional cases of discernment, the door is opened to introducing the ‘Gospel of Divorce,’ the gospel without the sixth commandment,” said the bishop.

“And this will no longer be the Gospel of Jesus, but an anti-gospel, a gospel according to this world, even if such a gospel be cosmetically embellished with terms such as ‘mercy,’ ‘maternal solicitude’ or ‘accompaniment,'” he said.

If the confusion continues, then “the bishops have to indefectibly preach the unchanging Gospel concerning the divine doctrine of the morality and perennial discipline of marriage,” said Bishop Schneider.

He also stressed that “the entire Church must pray for the Pope, so that he finds the knowledge and the courage to fulfil his primary task. When St Peter, the first Pope, was imprisoned the entire Church prayed continually for him and God freed him from his chains.”

In a comment at the end of its report, EWTN noted: “Schism is a mortal sin against the faith of the Church which the Catechism of the Catholic Church describes as breaking the first of the Ten Commandments, ‘You shall worship the Lord your God and him only shall you serve.’

“As Bishop Schneider warns, an unspecified number of clergy are in a state of internal schism against the divine truth of Christ, and they are employing evil means to hide the reality of their schism including the tactic of intimidation and moral violence.

“To justify their schism, these ecclesiastics are also attempting to project the accusation of schism against clergy, such as the Four Cardinals, who are prudently and earnestly seeking to protect the faith. The personal insults and attacks directed at the cardinals who submitted the dubia [questions to the Pope] indicates the truth about who are the real schismatics, for schism is a sin against charity.”

Gov. Tambuwal: More Rivers To Cross, Supreme Court Orders Retrial Of His Seat

Sokoto State Governor, Aminu Tambuwal
Sokoto State Governor, Aminu Tambuwal

The executive seat of the Sokoto State Governor, Aminu Waziri Tambuwal is shaking, as the Supreme Court has directed the Federal High Court to retry a case filed by Senator Umaru Dahiru challenging the nomination of Tambuwal as candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the April 2015 governorship election.

Dahiru contested for the governorship election in the December 2014 primaries of the APC, but lost to Tambuwal, who eventually went on to win the gubernatorial poll conducted by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) in April 2015.

He was subsequently sworn in as Governor on May 29 of the same year.

The Supreme Court a ruling today, Friday followed an earlier judgment given by the Supreme Court in June this year which dismissed application by the Sokoto State chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and its governorship candidate, Senator Abdallah Wali, to be joined as parties to Dahiru’s suit.

In a judgment written by Hon. Justice Musa Dattijo Muhammed, JSC, and read by Hon. Justice CC Nweze, JSC, the court held that rather than consider the case as mere academic exercise, the High Court should retry it on its merit.

Counsel to Tambuwal, Paul M. Kassim, who led six other lawyers, said the defence is satisfied with the ruling and will get set for trial at the Federal High Court.

“Our position remains unchanged, that our client was validly nominated by the APC and was duly elected Governor by the good people of Sokoto State,” he told reporters after the judgment.

In the June ruling by now retired Justice Sulaiman Galadima, JSC, the Supreme Court held that PDP and Wali lacked the locus standi to apply to be joined in the suit, describing the two as interlopers who should not take part in a matter purely involving another party.

Even though Sokoto PDP had announced that they will not challenge the election of Tambuwal in 2015, they however, through case number SC/67/2016, sought to be joined as parties in Dahiru’s suit on the grounds that if it succeeds, Wali should be declared winner of the election.

In a notice of motion for joinder filed at the apex court by EK Ashiekaa, SAN, Wali and PDP contended that having participated in the 2015 governorship election, and having scored the next highest number of votes cast after that of Tambuwal, they have sufficient grounds to be joined in the case. President Buhari at AU

President Muhammadu Buhari has cautioned the people of Rivers state to conduct themselves in peaceful and orderly manner as they go out tomorrow, Saturday to cast their votes in the federal and state legislative rerun elections.

The President asked all political parties, their candidates, other stakeholders and the people of the state to ensure that the polls are conducted without rigging, violence and intimidation of opponents and electoral officials.

A statement today, Friday, by the special adviser to Buhari on media and publicity, Femi Adesina quoted the President as reminding politicians and their supporters in Rivers State to put the higher interest of the people of the state in mind in the re-run.

“The rerun elections should not be seen as a do-or-die affair to the extent that people will be killed, maimed and property destroyed in a mindless display of crude primitive instincts. Innocent blood should never be sacrificed on the altar of political contest for temporary power.” The President, who called on security and law enforcement agencies to exhibit professionalism and non-partisanship in the discharge of their constitutional duties even in the face of extreme provocations, directed them to deal decisively with trouble-makers and those bent on violating the sanctity of the electoral process.

President Buhari advised the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to do all within its powers to give transparency and fairness to the electoral exercise in Rivers State.

He restated the commitment of his administration to deepening democracy in the country by enthroning a legacy of respect for the wishes of the people through free, fair and credible elections devoid of intimidation and violence throughout the federation. [myad]

Debt Management Office Raises N1.18 Trillion To Fund Economy

Nigeria Debt Management Boss, Abraham Nwankwo
Abraham Nwankwo

The Director General of the Debt Management Office (DMO), Dr. Abraham Nwankwo has announced that the office has raised the entire N1.18 trillion domestic component of the 2016 approved borrowing to fund the Nigerian economy for 2016 fiscal year.

“Nigeria has successfully developed a strong domestic market, he said.

Dr. Nwankwo, who  made the announcement when he addressed members of the senate committee on local and foreign debts, said that the remaining N635 billion is to be borrowed from external sources .

He said that the country expected US$1 billion from the African Development Bank (AfDB) “but AfDB released $600 million.”

The Ministry of Finance, he said, is working to secure the balance but the current economic situation was making the realization a Herculean task. However, Nwankwo noted that there is some good news because the government “can fall back on domestic borrowing.”

The Chief Debt Officer of the nation also revealed that the federal government is servicing its debt as at when due. According to him, of the N1.161 trillion to be serviced in 2016 the federal government has serviced N1.09 trillion.

“Nigeria is in a very strong position to service its debts because of our debt sustainability analysis which ensures that we make sure to we do not go near threshold of borrowing and to avoid unsustainable debts so we are operating miles away from the threshold.”

Giving this development, Dr. Nwankwo assured the  Senate that “we will build sustainable economy in the next 3-5 years.”

“DMO is working to see that the $1 billion Eurobond is mobilized by second quarter of 2017, he said.

On the proposed $29.9 billion loan, he told the senators that “the loan will be borrowed over a three year period not at once. Drawdown of the loan will be done based on the progress of the work and it is essentially for infrastructure because we don’t have revenue at hand to provide infrastructure.”

These infrastructures he said “will help reduce poverty. There must be no leakages, that should be our focus and there must be accountability. Investment of $30 billion should be in infrastructure that can repay itself.” [myad]
